more sedona


These are just a few extra shots from Sedona that I omitted from the previous post. I guess I wanted to keep them separate from the first post because these photos include some man-made features and I wanted the other post to focus on the natural world.
The first image is a photo of the scenic drive through Oak Creek Canyon. It eventually leads to Flagstaff. It is a stunning drive and is highly recommended.
The second photo is Midgley Bridge. No, it isn't a bridge for tiny but proportionate people. There are a few hiking trails that begin near this bridge, and there are terrific views of the canyon and Oak Creek.
The third photo is of the Chapel of the Holy Cross. This catholic chapel was built right into the rocks in 1956. It is an impressive sight and one of the many icons of Sedona.
